Thanks so much for visiting my website. To help you plan your wedding, portrait or commercial photography, I’ve featured some frequently asked questions – together with my answers! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there is any other information you need about my services.
What’s your availability? Do you ever take last minute bookings?
It’s advisable to contact me as soon as possible if you’re interested in booking my services as a wedding photographer. My wedding commissions are strictly limited each year, in order to ensure that I can give all my couples the very best service and attention to detail.
My portrait and commercial work tends to fit into the relatively small gaps in my diary. The summer months are particularly busy – so, for example, if you’re a venue planning a editorial shoot it’s great if you can get in touch as early as possible to ensure that we can find a suitable time to work together.
If I have availability, I’m always really happy to accommodate last minute bookings – so please do feel free to ask!
How much experience do you have in wedding photography?
I have photographed more than 200 weddings and there is nothing I LOVE more. Elopements, country weddings, cultural weddings, religious weddings, gay weddings, beach weddings, mountain weddings, and more.
Having extensive wedding experience is so important to anticipate moments, to offer advice on how the wedding day could flow in a relaxed way, and to handle tricky situations to keep my couples happy. A lot of the feedback I have received in the past from clients indicates how relaxed they felt with me on their wedding day which means the world to me.
Clients generally book my services for their entire wedding day. If this is what you are looking for, as your wedding photographer you can expect me to arrive at the bridal preparations at least 2 hours before the wedding ceremony and not leave until the dance party is well under way. I take an unlimited number of pictures, making sure I artistically capture all the significant moments of your wedding day. I work alone – apart from when you’ve over three hundred guests in attendance. When this is the case, then I enlist the help of a trusted second shooter.
After you’ve photographed our wedding, what happens?
After your wedding, I review your photos and professionally edit up to six hundred images, ensuring that all are of the highest standard and ready for print. Once the post-production process is complete, I upload these images to your own private online gallery where you will be able to download all the digital images for free. I’ll also give you access to an online printing facility, giving you and your guests complete freedom to choose and print the pictures you love the most.
We don’t like the thought of having a lot of posed, formal photos at our wedding. Is this your approach - how do you normally work one-on-one with your couples?
I believe that the best images are never captured if the camera intimidates anyone. I’m a people watcher; I like to document weddings in the most discreet and unobtrusive way. On your wedding day, we’ll disappear together for a little while – just the three of us. It’s important that you are given the opportunity to relax and enjoy being photographed alone, without an audience. We’ll take a walk, exploring our scenic surroundings – and I’ll identify the best lighting conditions. Then you’ll enjoy precious time together whilst I snap away, capturing your personalities and the incredible intimacy of your union…against amazing backdrops. To ensure perfect composition, this session may include a couple of lightly directed portraits, making sure that you both remain completely at ease and natural in front of my camera.
Do you shoot group photos at weddings?
Yes, if requested! We agree on a list in advance, which will detail all the set shots required. Your list will include the names of your guests required for each group shot. On your wedding day, I work with the list, setting up the set shots required, with the help of one family member who kindly ensures that guests are ready to be photographed.
Again, there is an element of light direction in my approach when I’m photographing family and group shots, but my methods are discreet and the finished product is always very natural!
Do you offer wedding albums?
Yes, absolutely!I think special days like weddings deserve to be cherished by creating a physical album of your treasured memories for you and your family. Despite the fact that we live in a digital age, seeing an image on your computer screen can’t compare to a professionally printed image. Being able to physically touch and hold images of your wedding is quite special- that album should instantly transport you back to your special day. My wedding albums are of the finest Italian quality and individually designed by me. Before printing, you will be provided with a PDF proof of the album, allowing you to approve the final layout and images.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! Yes! Yes! I'm a wedding photographer in Spain with a real love for travel and destination weddings. I love the storytelling experience of documenting a wedding that you have chosen to celebrate abroad. You can also often find me in Italy, my homeland...I'm originally from Tuscany and in love with weddings in Italy!
If you feel I may be the right wedding photographer for you, then please get in touch. I will be delighted to provide more information about my photography services.
